Panel Discussion Featuring Innocence Project Lawyer Chris Fabricant, MN AG Keith Ellison, and forensic pathologist Dr. Lindsey Thomas. Chris Fabricant, Director of Strategic Litigation for the Innocence Project, is touring to promote his new book, Junk Science and the American Criminal Justice System. A panel of experts will discuss the book, and the role of bad forensic science in causing wrongful convictions. Panelists also will discuss potential solutions to the problem, including the work of the Minnesota Conviction Review Unit and similar prosecutor-led conviction integrity units. In addition to Mr. Fabricant, panelists will be Attorney General Keith Ellison and medical examiner Lindsey Thomas, M.D. Great North Innocence Project Staff Attorney James Mayer will moderate the discussion. The event will take place on April 18 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m., in Room 65 of Mondale Hall
