COVID-19 protocols for when your pets & home are in our care

With Covid-19 cases rising in Anne Arundel County as the weather gets colder, I'd like to ensure my clients and potential clients that we at Exotic Pet Pals take this seriously. I do not board animals, and instead come to you for all services. While I am still doing traditional Meet & Greets inside homes to meet clients & their pets, and obtain a house key, I am also offering virtual Meet & Greets on Zoom by request, and outdoor Meet & Greets at a client's home when possible. For all in-person meets, I am wearing a mask and ask that all people present do the same. In fact I will refuse service if you refuse to wear a mask. <insert Governor Hogan's new slogan here> Every time I am inside your home, I am wearing a mask and disposable shoe covers; the same shoe covers are never worn in another client's home. This includes when you're on vacation. In my experience, pets have quickly gotten used to / are not fazed by my mask. The mask protects your indoor air, and I've found wearing it to be great for me when scooping litter & picking up dog poop. :) For the exotic pet nail and wing trimming services offered, I am now bringing along an employee to assist. This prevents the client and I from having our faces close together since it works best with one person restraining the pet, and the other doing the trimming. Lastly, I also wash my hands a lot...but I fully admit this was me pre-pandemic too. I always appreciate when clients have paper towels & soap by their kitchen sink.
