SALEM, MA — Weekend train commuters and visitors to and from the North Shore will be required to rely on shuttle service this weekend.
The MBTA said shuttles will run from North Station to Oak Grove station for the Rockport and Newburyport lines on Saturday and Sunday. The MBTA said the express shuttles are necessary to do bridge, rail and signal work on the tracks.
All shuttle service is accessible but bicycles are not allowed on shuttles.
Shuttle buses will run on the regular weekend schedule.
