DUNEDIN, FL — Dunedin Parks & Recreation, in partnership with the Dunedin Jr. Falcons, is offering a youth co-ed basketball league for boys and girls ages 8-13. This recreational league is for new and seasoned players. Children will focus on skill development, instruction, teamwork, hand-eye coordination, social skills, sportsmanship and confidence. It's also a great way for kids to test their endurance, compete and meet new friends. Divisions are 8-10 years old and 11-13 years old. There will be two evaluation clinics: Saturday, May 7, from 10:45 to 11:30 a.m.Wednesday, May 11 from 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. Players must attend one clinic at the MLK Jr. Recreation Center, 550 Laura Lane, Dunedin. Games will begin Friday and Saturday, June 10 and 11, at the MLK Jr. Recreation Center. Teams will play a six-game schedule with a single-elimination tournament. The cost is $40 per child.
