Description
GEORGETOWN, DC — A woman asleep in her Georgetown home was awakened early Sunday morning by an unknown man trying to sexually assault her, according to a police release.
Around 4:30 a.m., a man had entered a residence in the 3500 block of O Street, Northwest, and found the woman sleeping in her bed. He then began to engage in unwanted sexual contact with her, according police. This woke the woman up and the man fled from her home.
Police described the suspect as a 20-30-year-old white man, who stood about 5-foot-8. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a red, white, and blue beanie with a pom-pom-like ball on top.
Police are asking anyone with information about this case to call 202-727-9099 or text a tip to the MPD's text tip line at 50411. Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to to $1,000 for information that leads to the identification and indictment of anyone who commits a crime in the District.
