The Yard Waste Site is located at N72W22924 Good Hope Road at the Woodland Nature Preserve. Full details, including hours of operation, how to use the site, and what items are accepted can be found on our website. Resident registration for Summer Recreation Programs starts at 9 a.m. Monday, April 4. The Summer Activity Guide can be viewed on our website now and will be delivered to your mailbox soon. Non-resident registrations begins at 9 a.m. Thursday, April 7. Programs start May 1. Spring StoryWalk® April 9-May 2 Village Park A StoryWalk® takes a children's book and spreads its pages across a nature trail to allow families to experience a story and the outdoors together. The featured book is Picnic by John Burningham. The StoryWalk® begins at the road south of the splash pad. Coffee With a Cop April 15 • 9 to 11 a.m. Loca Latte • N63W23217 Main Street Join your neighbors and deputies for coffee and conversation! Ask questions, voice concerns, and get to know the deputies in your neighborhood. Spring Hydrant Flushing April 18–22 & April 25–29 Hydrant flushing removes sediment and maintains clarity and quality in the water distribution pipes. Water may become discolored after hydrant flushing. If this happens, run your cold water tap for a few minutes until the water clears. If the water doesn't clear the first time, wait a few minutes and run the water again. Avoid washing clothes until the water clears. Waukesha County TakeBack Event Saturday, April 30 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sussex Pick 'N Save • N65W24838 Main Street Drop off unused and expired prescription medications and needles/sharps for proper disposal by the Waukesha County Sheriff's Department and Sussex Pick 'N Save pharmacy staff. Arbor Day 5K & Kids Fun Run Saturday, April 30 The Grove at Village Park Day-of Registration and Check In: 7:30–8:45 a.m. Kids Fun Run Start Time: 8:30 a.m. 5K Race Start Time: 9 a.m. Join us for an Arbor Day Celebration with friends and family at our Arbor Day 5K & Kids Fun Run benefiting our Recreation Scholarship Program, which provides funds to make sure that no child is excluded from community recreation opportunities due to financial limitations.
