BE ME KIDS IS BACK!!! This is a fun and empowering event for ages 5-11! Our BE ME Kids Program is where children learn about the power of kindness toward themselves and others. They learn how to navigate stress and how they are responsible for their own emotions. It is a fun and empowering event for ages 5-11 created by our Founder's Granddaughter, Skylar, when she was 9 years old. Skylar saw the need for kids to be strong in who they are, and not who others think they should be. The program is now led by Skylar, who is now 14, along with our Founder Kathy Opperman. Parents, in addition to creating a craft to take home, the children will have circle time where they freely share stories of kindness and bullying and how it makes them feel. It can get sad for some children to hear the stories. If you do not feel your child is ready for deep discussions, or cannot give their attention to the discussions, you may want to come and observe a session before enrolling your child in a future session. **Seating is LIMITED. Two days prior to the event, you will receive an email from us asking you to confirm your attendance, you must respond to this email in order to keep your child's seat. If we do not hear back from you, we will open the seat to the next child on the waitlist.** Siblings, relatives and friends who are younger than 5 may not attend the event due to attendance limits. This is a drop off and pick up event, but parents may feel free to wait in a separate room at the center during the event. Snacks, juice and water are provided. Please pack any special snacks your child may need. Please let us know of any allergies. We do our best to not serve any snacks with dairy or peanuts. This event is free.
