HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Parents or guardians and students in grades 8th through 10th can attend a virtual information session about the HCPSS Career and Technology Education Career Academies. Participants will learn how CTE Career Academies provide high school students with opportunities to earn college credit, scholarships and industry certifications, participate in worksite and mentorship experiences, and become creative problem solvers by participating in hands-on project-based learning.
During each virtual information session, Applications and Research Laboratory academies will be sharing additional information and answering questions. After registering for one of the two sessions on Dec. 8 or Jan. 7, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.Career Academy programs are offered in more than 20 different career fields, including agricultural science, aerospace engineering, cybersecurity networking, health professions and more. Each program is designed to prepare high school students to be college and career ready and to meet the demands of the 21st century global economy.
