PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — A man kicked a 10-year-old boy and grabbed him by the neck in Nokesville on Sunday, police said. Authorities are still looking for the suspect, who they identified as Christopher Michael Grimes. The incident occurred in the 9000 block of Sowder Place in Nokesville around 4:30 a.m. on Saturday. Through their investigation, officers determined that Grimes grabbed a 10-year-old boy by the neck and kicked him. A family member intervened and separated Grimes from the victim, police said. Grimes left the home later on Saturday morning, according to the police report. The victim suffered minor injuries in the assault. Officers obtained warrants for Grimes for strangulation and assault and battery. However, officers have been unable to locate Grimes. The police department described Grimes as a 37-year-old from North Potomac, Maryland. He is about 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. He has brown hair and blue eyes.
