Man Charged In Columbia Shooting During Music Video: Police

COLUMBIA, MD — Police have charged a Columbia man in the Oct. 3 double shooting in Columbia that left one person with life-threatening injuries. Tarik Parker Dorsey, 21, of Overheart Lane, is charged with two counts each of attempted first-degree murder; attempted second-degree murder; first-degree assault; and reckless endangerment. He also has been charged with weapon violations. Dorsey is being held at the Howard County Detention Center on no bond. Howard County police officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 5600 block of Cedar Lane at approximately 8:29 p.m. Oct. 3. They found two men suffering from gunshot wounds. Sherod Madison Hogue, 26, of Columbia, was transported to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center and remains in critical condition. Gregory Peck McGraw, 31, of Baltimore, was treated at Shock Trauma and has since been released. Police learned that people had gathered at the spot to shoot a music video when Dorsey opened fire. He was arrested Tuesday in Parkville. Police continue to investigate the shooting. Anyone with information should contact police at 410-313-STOP or [email protected].
