Description
CONCORD, NH — Three people were arrested on Saturday during an impaired driving initiative held by the New Hampshire State Police and Manchester police.
The effort, which searched for drunken drivers in the greater Manchester area, was "a coordinated patrol" between the two organizations in the city and Hillsborough County, too.
During the effort, two people were arrested on driving while intoxicated charges — Tad Hitt, 45, of New Ipswich, and Nicholas Hendel, 43, of Merrimack. Also arrested was Nichelle Bell, 44, of Manchester on a superior court warrant for failure to appear.
"These coordinated patrols were funded by the New Hampshire Office of Highway Safety," Capt. Christopher Vetter of the NHSP, "which provides funding to state, local and county police officers in an effort to identify those that drive impaired, over posted speed limits as well as those driving distracted."
