OAK LAWN, IL — Despite the near freezing temperatures this spring, Oak Lawn Community High School senior Ruby Amigon is really hot at the plate, opening the Spartans girls softball season with a .750 batting average and five RBIs in the first three games.
Amigon played a big role in the Spartans' 12-7 win over South Suburban Conference crossover opponent Tinley Park earlier this week. She contributed at the plate and played great defense. Oak Lawn head coach Pat Probst is looking forward to Amigon continuing this excellent play.
"We are looking for continued success and leadership from Ruby this season," he said.
