Description

CONCORD, NH — Concord fire and rescue teams were sent to a homeless camp under the Water Street bridge for another homeless camp fire on Saturday. Around 4:45 p.m., capital region dispatch began to receive reports of smoke in the bridge area. Firefighters drove to Gas Street, the best road to access the camps under the bridge, and stretched a line to a pile of debris as well as a tent and campsite materials that were on fire, according to the battalion commander. The fire was knocked down in about 15 minutes with firefighters overhauling the area. Firefighters reported no injuries. A few minutes after the fire call, firefighters and EMTs were sent to Royal Gardens for a possible overdose. NEWS 603 posted a video of the fire on Facebook. Got a news tip?
