Description

A certified Pesticide Applicator/QAL will know how to mix or apply pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, or insecticides through sprays, dusts, vapors, soil incorporation or chemical application on trees, shrubs, lawns, or botanical crops. Cover areas to specified depths with pesticides, applying knowledge of weather conditions, droplet sizes, elevation-to-distance ratios, and obstructions. Fill sprayer tanks with water and chemicals, according to formulas. Maintains a strong relationship with management, clients, and potential clients through good public relations and communication practices as part of business development and retention. Maintains safety on each project in accordance with approved safety rules and regulations. Apply pesticides to structures according to schedule, safety procedures and label instructions. Drive company vehicle to customers’ houses or places of business. Respond on a timely basis to customers’ service calls. Complete required service reports after every service call. Knowledgeable of SingleOps a plus, a service call software system. Maintain vehicle and equipment in clean and proper operating condition. Assist in sales to new customers. Performs other related duties as assigned. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. Employee is responsible and accountable for compliance with workplace policies and procedures for risk identification, risk assessment and risk control. Also, maintain and adhere to correct utilization of appropriate personal protective equipment. Compensation based upon experience.
