Local Taos landscaping company “Taos Home & Garden Experts” (THGE) is looking to hire qualified landscapers & handymen. THGE is a young landscaping company with a fast growing list of clients. We specialize in landscape maintenance and installation, but we do a variety of other services which include: - Lawn maintenance - Irrigation install & repair - Fence construction - Raised bed construction - Tree trimming & installation - Moving and cleanup services - Flagstone & stonework We do a variety of jobs and services, so we are looking for very versatile and skilled employees. I have over 5 years of landscaping and construction experience and enjoy the work I do. I have extensive knowledge of the plants and trees that grow here in New Mexico. I am looking for someone who shares an interest for plants and the outdoors and is willing to learn about the natural landscape. This a great position for someone who wants to learn more about construction and landscaping. It is also a great opportunity to be creative and help design new landscapes. This is a tough job but we always find ways to have fun! Great work atmosphere and a fun team to be a part of. Qualified candidates should display a broad knowledge about gardening, irrigation systems, stonework, small-scale construction, and tree maintenance. - Knowledge of native plants is desired and drip irrigation is a plus. - Should be able to work independently and know how to problem solve - Work weeks consist of at least 30hrs. - Must be able to work long hours in the sun from 9am-4pm daily. - Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. - I prefer someone who owns a dependable truck to haul tools and materials to the job site etc. - Must be dependable and show up to work on time!! - Must have a flexible schedule - Having your own set of tools is a plus. This includes, but is not limited to shovel, rake, loppers, pruners, bucket, tarp, pick-ax, etc. - Know how to operate machines and power tools safely. - Know how to troubleshoot/diagnose machine and tool problems. - Having an open mind and positive attitude is a must!
