CATONSVILLE, MD — A 5,000-square-foot hall in the center of the Catonsville Arts & Entertainment District will be operated and managed by the Baltimore County Arts Guild. Sitting at 10 St. Timothy Lane, the building began being used as a center for arts, education and civic improvement in 1952.
"We are thrilled to have this new gathering space for the arts and we look forward to celebrating the building's past traditions while evolving a new creative A&E culture," said Barbara Cox, president of the Baltimore County Arts Guild, in a statement.
Starting in August, the space will house a wide range of visual, music and performing arts programs and exhibits, as well as creative experiences for all ages through classes and programs. An open house with physical distancing and face mask requirements in place for the community will be held Aug. 7 from 4-6 p.m. with timed tours of the new space. People can engaged in outdoor activities ranging from arts and crafts to live music.
The Catonsville Arts & Entertainment District is the first state-designated arts and entertainment district in Baltimore County.
