I'm a carpenter with over 25 years experience in high end custome building. trim, framing, layout, management I can do them all. what I'm looking for is a building company that's willing to pay a good wage for a skilled, reliable, equipped and efficient worker. in the more than 2 decades I've been doing this work the building cost per square foot has more than doubled. houses sell for twice what they did at the end of the 90s. why are building companies still paying the same wages? my life is more expensive, my skill level is better by 20 years of experience. I'm making about the same take home as when I started. WTF? all the money is going somewhere...
