Needed: Barn Manager/Cleaner/General Farm Work
I am looking for help with my 4 stall barn, mucking manure, dumping buckets, exchanging water, cleaning the paddock and other areas. The ideal candidate will replace my current helper, who will be moving soon. Ideally, the applicant knows about basic horse safety and has a reliable vehicle that can brave a little snow. I am providing therapy, so will need to run and pass a background check. Confidentiality and allowing for privacy when I work is a must. For starters, it is cleaning stalls only, but I potentially have more work. Pay is $25 for cleaning stalls, but may go up to $30 IF the job is done right and I can rely on you showing up as agreed. I pay a piece rate for the barn, which takes into consideration your gas. I spend at the most one hour with the cleaning, but I have seen people working much slower if they are not used to handling a pitch fork. I would appreciate someone who is looking for a permanent job and is able to commit to approximately the same time every day. Any additional labor would be paid at a piece rate as well, based on the work. You would be an independent contractor/not employee as hours may vary. Ideally, I need someone daily, and potentially on some weekends if I am out of town.
In your response please include:
- Experience with horses/barn work
- Start time and days/times available
- If this is a permanent service you can provide most days
- If you would pass a background check
- If you have a reliable vehicle (pick up truck ideal but not a must)
- Where you live (so the drive here is not too much)
- Your phone number and full name
Thank you kindly for your interest.
