River Valley Ranch is a mushroom farm and food producer that is recognized as a leader in the local food industry in Chicago. We sell farm fresh mushrooms and value-added products at over 15 farmers markets per week in the Chicagoland area and operate a wholesale business and grocery business in Chicago year-round. Our warehouse is located in Albany Park in Chicago, IL. We are seeking a Warehouse Associate with warehouse or inventory experience to perform warehouse duties that are integral to our market and wholesale operations in Chicago. RESPONSIBILITIES - Will work in a warehouse setting. - Warehouse, cooler, and freezer general cleaning, upkeep, and maintenance. - Maintain a highly organized and efficient warehouse space for optimal workflow. - Demand-plan and order product and supplies for market operations. - Receive orders; verify the correctness of orders and report. - Groom and sort fresh product to maintain quality and limit spoilage. - Stage product and equipment in warehouse and vehicles for market operations. - Receive market product returns; verify the correctness of returning inventory. - Maintain vehicles and market equipment to ensure functionality for market operations. - Communicate product/customer/warehouse issues with management. - Perform regular inventory counts and spot audits and report to management. - Perform all other duties assigned. CORE SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS - Warehouse experience or inventory experience (or related). - Ability to lift and maneuver product as well as pull heavy carts and pallets. - Frequent standing, walking, lifting, reaching and bending during the entire shift. - Must be reliable and a self-starter; able to work independently. - Strong communication skills and modern computer skills for reporting. - Must be able to work overtime as needed. Job Type: Full-Time Pay: $18-$22/hr ($18-$20 for training, reward for perfect attendance) Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (subject to change) Work Location: One Location
