Beginner guitarist looking for jam partners

Hello! I love playing guitar, but I'm not especially good at it. I'm looking for other beginner or amateur musicians to jam with a few times a month to have fun and get better at playing together. Some of my favorite genres are classic rock, 90s alternative, folk, Bach, and filk/sci-fi, but I'm pretty happy to learn anything with an interesting melody. When I've done this in the past we've just kind of picked some songs, looked up the chords and a couple of riffs online, and then tried to learn them on the spot together, looking for ways to capture different parts of the sound, maybe go through it two or three times and then move on to the next song. I'd be happy to jam with anyone who plays guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, violin, ukulele, sax, or flute. I've got access to a basement rehearsal space in Rosslyn and you're welcome to join me here, or I can travel a short distance to your place by bus or metro -- if you're not within about 5 miles of the Rosslyn metro and you're not willing to come here, I'm probably not interested. We could also practice outside when the weather's nice; I've got an amp but sometimes I like to play unplugged.
