SSP Industries is looking for experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for the operation of Excavators and/or Wheel loaders, for our underground utility division. Must be dependable and have experience. Operate equipment safety and follow the company safety guidelines. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Knowledge and ability to safely operate backhoe, 315 and 336 size excavators. • Knowledge and ability to safely operate Backhoe wheel loader, Second Compactor for our underground utility division. • Weekly overtime pay is standard for a typical work week of 50 hours at a minimum. You will typically have your weekends free as we seldom work on Saturdays. Company vehicle available, or a vehicle allowance, for key personnel. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Excavator operators should have the physical strength and stamina to stand strenuous work environments, be able to work well as part of a team and have good decision-making skills. Time management – This job requires the ability to complete work projects in an efficient manner and to strict schedules. Applicants need to have good time management skills and be organized. Team-work – Excavator operators work closely with other team members and construction workers. Must have strong interpersonal skills. Must be dependable and have experience. Operate equipment safety and follow the company safety guidelines. PREFERRED SKILLS Previous experience handling heavy machinery.
