Chinook Winds Casino Resort is looking for a full time Kitchen Equipment Tech. Pay will be determined by experience. Responsible for maintenance service and repairs in the areas of commercial kitchen equipment and refrigeration Essential Functions • Perform tasks relating to repairs and installations including commercial kitchen equipment, electrical/electronic circuits, and basic plumbing. • Responds to trouble calls and emergencies, performs basic repairs on kitchen equipment, electrical and all other minor repairs. • Diagnoses equipment problems and takes appropriate action to correct deficiencies including performing repairs and interfacing with service technicians. Equipment includes: refrigerators, freezers, ovens, ice machines, ranges, exhaust hoods, garbage disposals, dishwashing machines, etc. • Identifies the trade required and obtain sufficient information for the trade to plan the job. • Cleans and maintains tools, shop, and mechanical rooms. • Cross trains other technicians on how to trouble shoot equipment. • Maintains knowledge in regards to safe and efficient use of hand power tools. • Complies with all Federal, State, and local regulations. • Complies with Facilities Department and Chinook Winds Casino Resort policies and procedures. • All other duties as assigned. Education High School Diploma or GED Experience Three years related experience diagnosing and servicing commercial kitchen equipment Computer Skills Microsoft Office basic level including Word, Excel, and Outlook Certificates & Licenses Oregon Drivers License Must obtain a Universal Refrigeration License within 90 days of employment. Other Physical Requirements Vision: Near and Far Sense of Sound Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to vibration or risk of electrical shock and other potentially hazardous materials and substances. Some work may take place on the gaming floor. Occasionally the work environment will be in locations exposed to smoke and the associated effects, and may also be subject to a scented air environment. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Working Conditions Conditions of employment include passing a pre-employment drug screen, a background investigation, and completing a 180 day introductory period.
