Description
• In a day and age when everyone on the planet has a camera/video camera in their pocket or purse, "fake news" is nearly impossible.
• In a day and age when the news industry is failing, the dull, uneducated, intellectually deficient electorate wanting to play video games and watch sports, news broadcasters are keenly aware of the viewers response to stories, so act more responsibly then anytime in television history.
• In a day and age when it is advertisers who fund the news broadcasts, mostly white, corporate executives are keenly aware that to publish untruths will reflect badly upon the brands they are trying to get you to buy.
• Even the smallest examples of embellishment in the news industry are handled most harshly by executives and producers. (Think Brian Williams)
• Different newscasts are indeed slanted, but it is content that is affected, not truth in the story. One broadcast may omit to cover a story that might be viewed as contrary to what their viewers wish to see. To avoid this, simply expose yourself to multiple news sources.
