Mare Quarter Horse (Estimated to be 12-15 years old) 15-15.2 hands tall
We rescued her a few months back from a kill pen. Since then she has made a lot of progress but needs a ton of work!
She is still very underweight but making great progress with senior feed and weight supplements. She is VERY good aggressive.
She is also more aggressive towards men, however if you’re around her a lot she will warm up to you. With that being said, she does still have her bad days where she hates everyone and everything.
Just started treating her for rain rot.
Since getting a halter on her about a month ago, I have worked her on the lunge line around 10 times and worked with her on ground manners. She works great on the line as long as you are consistent and make her follow through.
We just had her front feet done a few weeks ago. Farrier is going to try to do her back feet then but said she may need to be sedated.
She is due for her shots and an updated Coggins.
I will NOT let her go to a child or someone without training. She needs to go to an experience rider who has the time to train her and spend a lot of time with her. I think with time she could be a great horse.
Price is firm. One thousand.
I don’t recommend that she be out with any horse smaller than her. She was with our mini pony in the beginning and we had to separate them because she would try to kick him quite often. And she did not care for our free range chickens.
Text for any additional information or with questions! I don’t not want her going back to a kill pen or auction!
