WATSONVILLE, CA — Voters will decide the outcome of three Watsonville City Council races in districts 1, 2 and 6 this year.

District 1 Former Watsonville mayor and councilmember Eduardo Montesino is making another run to serve the southern region of Watsonville on the council. He is running unopposed to replace Felipe Hernandez, who is hitting his term limit.

District 2 Incumbent Aurelio Gonzalez is seeking to fend off challenger and adjunct professor Vanessa Quiroz-Carter in the race to represent the southeast Watsonville area.

District 6 Community volunteer Tony Gomez is squaring off against teacher Jimmy Dutra in the race to represent the northern end of central Watsonville. Incumbent Trina Coffman-Gomez is hitting her term limit.
