WATSONVILLE, CA — That's right — Santa Claus is coming to town!
Kris Kringle began pounding the pavement in Watsonville Wednesday, visiting all the boys and girls, regardless of their status on the nice list. As dusk approaches, he'll be spreading holiday cheer through the city's streets through Dec. 18.
Santa is getting an escort from his elves at the Parks and Community Services Department. This is a drive-thru event
Here are the Watsonville neighborhoods Santa will be visiting in the days to come, beginning at 4 p.m. (scroll for map):
Wednesday, Dec. 9: City Council District 1 (Local landmarks include: Landmark Elementary School, Ramsay Park, Target, Notre Dame School, Radcliff Elementary, United States Post Office)
Thursday, Dec. 10: City Council District 2 (Local landmarks include: City Plaza, Cabrillo College, Watsonville High School)
Friday, Dec. 11: City Council District 3 (Local landmarks include: Rolling Hills Middle School, Freedom Elementary School, Watsonville Airport, Home Depot, Freedom Library)
Wednesday, Dec. 16: City Council District 5 (Local landmarks include: Starlight Elementary, Cesar Chaves Middle School, Auto Center Drive)
Thursday, Dec. 17: City Council District 6 and 7 (Local landmarks include: Hyde Elementary School, Pajaro Valley Unified School District Administration offices, Crestview Park, DMV, Cassidy's Pizza, MacQuidy Elementary School, Franich Park, Ann Soldo Elementary School, Bay Village Senior Community, Pajaro Levee)
