Mini Australian Shepherd to loving home

Description

Meet Orlando! He was born December 7, 2021, purchased from Hillside Farm in Sunbury Pennsylvania. His sire is ASD registered brown/white mini, and his Dam is a blue merle. Dad was 19lbs and mom was 22lbs so he will unlikely be large in size. He is fully vaccinated with paperwork. He is established at Island Animal Hospital in Viera. He is housebroken and crate-trained. He is also very comfortable in harness in the car with someone in the back sitting with him. He is very sweet, healthy and energetic. He is not an "alpha male" dog. He loves to sit in my lap on the floor, and seems to know his place amongst the 3 cats and the 10 year old daughter. He sleeps through the night in a crate next to my bed. He is highly intelligent and has already learned how to sit, name recall on command. He walks comfortably on a leash. It was never our intention to rehome him. We have decided he deserves more time and energy than our family has. My daughter has autism and his energy sometimes scares her. I work 7a-4pm and he is crated during the day. The ideal family would have someone home during the day. He is very connected and likes to 'step in' when one of the cats wants any attention at all. We have older cats and we know at least one of them only has a few more years and really deserves all the time we have, and Orlando deserves as much attention. We are looking for the 'right' family and will not necessarily rehome him to the first inquiry: a thorough interview and meet and greet with him will assist us in making a final decision. He will come with one of his dog beds, all his toys, remainder of his dry and wet food, and his favorite blanket, as well as copies of all vet and breeder paperwork.
