Description
It isn’t about how your home appears to others; it's how it makes you feel. It isn’t about how your home appears to others; it's how it makes you feel. After Naomi, the founder of My Sober Girlfriends chose sobriety almost four years ago, she took a look around at what else what bogging her down. That started her on a path of decluttering her physical space. In a couple of years of small, steady steps, Naomi and her husband were able to move from the full 1,700 sq ft duplex they were renting, to buying their current 860 sq ft house. They love the simplicity. Last summer, she helped her mother move from the four bedroom house she'd been in for over 30 years to a tiny one bedroom apartment with little storage. Naomi has seen firsthand the invigorating effect it can have to "lighten the load", and that's why she's bringing this in-person workshop to you! Downsizing may not be your path, but I'm guessing you may have some area of your home that is bringing down your energy. And it's spring-- the perfect time to do something about it! Our guest facilitator for this in-person workshop is Julia Williamson, owner of Unburdened Life. Julia’s mission is to help you regain a sense of peace and optimism. She works with her clients to define their priorities and clear out anything that doesn't support them. This means decluttering more than just their space-- but also their heart and their spirit. Julia says: Want to change your life? Let's start by cleaning out your closet. In this workshop, Julia will talk both mindset and strategies, and will share the number one rule she uses with clients. Besides that, you'll have a chance to hang out with some awesome women!! (priceless :) ) This is a highly interactive session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your individual circumstances and receive ideas and motivation from a decluttering pro! We'll be meeting in the Community Room at Dick's Primal Burger on Woodstock. To order food and/or drink, arrive before 7. (No outside food or drink allowed, but you don't have to purchase anything to attend.) $12 for guests, (Members of the My Sober Girlfriends should RSVP for free through the membership site) About the facilitator: Julia Williamson is a decluttering expert who delivers engaging, interactive talks that challenge audiences to take the first small steps towards reclaiming their homes. As a closet clutter keeper, she understands why it’s so hard to get rid of things, even if you don’t like them very much. Working with Julia is like hanging out with a combo of your big sister and your best friend: she’ll push you to question your impulse to hold onto EVERYTHING but accept your choices no matter what.
