Yes, you can finish a painting you will be proud of in three hours. Our students are surprised how much they love their finished projects. $49 All supplies are included for this fun class. Beginner to advanced students welcome. Learn basic acrylic techniques while creating your own impressionistic work on a 16 by 20 inch canvas. Choose the shape and number of your lanterns to light up your forest. It's up to you. An experienced art teacher, spacious studio, and limited class size help to provide a creative and supportive environment to explore your own artistic style. A few techniques explored include, adding shading to create depth, choosing a color palette that sings, practicing one-stroke leaves, building an interesting composition, painting impressionistic glass, adding personality with a palette knife and especially, relaxing and staying loose. Light snacks and coffee, tea and water will be served. No drawing or other art experience is necessary. Stencils will be available for the Mason jars. The studio is located in the lower level of the Sanctuary Church and is not wheelchair accessible. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
