PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Patch recently partnered with the SPCA/Humane Society of Prince George's County. Each week, we will bring you the cutest pets looking for homes. Here are this week's adorable adoptables. Trixie Personality: I am friendly although I get scared very easily. I will run to my safe place (under the dresser) when I'm scared but I come out quickly. I love to play with toys on strings! Even when I'm scared, I will come out to play. I love to climb on the cat tree and look out the window. I will ask to be petted and every day I am friendlier with people. Hobbies: Playing with toys, looking out the window. Favorite Toys: String toys, stuffed mice and feathers. Favorite Napping Spot: On the cat tree or under the dresser. How I Came To Thee SPCA: I was found with my brother Axel and brought to the PGSPCA in August 2020. We have been with 3 foster families. I was very skittish and needed extra attention to learn how wonderful people can be. We can't wait to find a warm and welcoming forever home. Dream Family: I would love to find a home for me and Axel. We need a calm home because we are still a little skittish. We need a patient family with people who like to play and will spend time with us but will understand that the world is still scary to us. We love playing with string and balls and mice. We would love to be part of a family who will take care of us and we will love you back. Axel Personality: I am friendly but not yet a cuddler (though I think I might become a cuddler). I like to be petted and have my chin scratched. Sometimes I even like to have my belly rubbed. I have started sleeping with my foster mom sometimes. I love to play with toys on strings. I also love to catch mice (at least the stuffed ones). I still get scared of loud noises and sometimes hide when I am scared. I love to climb on my cat tree. Hobbies: Playing with toys. Favorite Toys: String toys, stuffed mice and feathers. Favorite Napping Spot: On the cat tree. How I Came To Thee SPCA: I was found with my sister Trixie and brought to the PGSPCA in August 2020. We have been with 3 foster families. I was very skittish and needed extra attention to learn how wonderful people can be. We can't wait to find a warm and welcoming forever home. She is a people-lover who adores cuddles, long head rubs, and sleeping on the couch. She never misses a beat by always laying nearby – keeping an open ear on the conversation. Home is Bambi's favorite place to rest and relax and cuddle up on a blanket. She loves to play with tennis balls. A big backyard and place to roam free is Bambi's favorite way to explore new surroundings. Bambi is a true extrovert who adapts quickly to new people and loves saying hi to others on walks. She has never lived with kids, but we think she would be fine with slightly older kids (4 and up). She is good with other dogs once she has a chance to know them, but energetic new dogs charging up to her can make her nervous. Bambi is house trained but still learning basic commands. While still learning, she wants someone who can teach and be patient with her along the way. Could you be her new family? Due to the large number of applications we have received for Bambi already, we are not currently accepting new ones until we have a chance to process the existing ones. The local SPCA is a volunteer-run organization that does not operate a physical shelter. Volunteers house the animals in their own homes until they are adopted. Every pet up for adoption is listed here. To start the adoption process, fill out this form. Anyone with questions can call (301) 262-5625 or email [email protected].
