Our favorite and best attended event of the year our annual fashion show, a celebration of friendship, inclusion and fashion accessibility! We are excited for our 4th annual fashion show and cannot wait to see you there! Best Buddies is an organization dedicated to forming friendships between Miami University college students, and local community members (Oxford, OH) who identify as having an intellectual or developmental disability. Our members are passionate about friendship, disability rights, justice, inclusion, and accessibility. Our chapter was formed in 2004; Miami is home to the oldest and largest chapter in the state of Ohio, over 600 members strong! Through a semester of meetings and fun gatherings, Best Buddies hopes to foster life-long friendships between all of its members. Meetings and events allow members to connect, have fun, and learn about disability access, rights, and justice. We strive to end the social isolation of individuals with disabilities! Best Buddies strives to uphold Miami's timeless motto: Love & Honor. Best Buddies is focused on forming authentic and meaningful friendships between individuals who may otherwise not have the opportunity to connect. By providing a medium for people with and without disabilities to interact, Best buddies provides members with an appreciation for diversity and inclusion, simulating "real life" after college. We love and honor our Miami and Oxford community by fostering a space in which everyone has a friend.
