3 yo Great Pyrenees

Description

Our friends moved to Texas and asked us to keep their 3 yo Great Pyrenees (neutered male) for them permanently since Texas is too hot for him. We agreed but after a year of trying it’s just not working out. This dog was raised with kids and just isn’t warming up to us (we don’t have kids and neither do any of our neighbors). He immediately took to our livestock but that’s not working out either because our livestock doesn’t like him. We’ve tried just about everything. Pros: great with kids, especially very young/small kids. Protective and prefers to stay home with family. Just needs a 20 min walk each day unless you have a large yard or kids to play with. Learns quickly and is protective/watchful of his “family.” Calm and does NOT jump. He is housetrained. He’s also great with cows, horses, goats, pigs, ducks, geese, chickens, dogs (small dogs, big dogs, males and female dogs) and cats. Cons: loud, hairy, and huge. He is friendly with other dogs and likes to meet/play but does not like to go to dog parks or spend long amounts of time from home. Can be stubborn. Does not like rabbits. He is UTD on shots, neutered, and microchipped. We have all the paperwork and his vet records. Asking $200 rehoming fee to ensure good home.
