Traumatic day. We just saw a dog get hit in front of us. We scooped him up and got him to vca but he passed before we got there. The kids are crushed. It was really traumatic. I got home and gave kuku a monster hug. Heartbreaking. He had no tags but they are checking for chip. This happened at 1pm today on Halsey and almost 181st. It looked like he’d ran out from the apartments there. He was a small brown Dauchhound or large chihuahua breed I think. He was taken to VCA on stark street. If you know of anyone looking for a dog of this description, please let them know to contact VCA immediately. My heart is broken. I feel awful for everyone involved. The man who hit them was inconsolable, so again, if anyone knows the man who hit him, please let him know he was taken to VCA as well. I know he’d want to check in on him. Please always be the person who stops. It didn’t work out for the best this time, but at least he passed in a warm lap being held by people who cared and not on the street 💕❤️😭😔
