Bass, Keys, Guitar, Vocals seek good listener, patient, tasteful (local) drummer; or Portland drummer willing to drive and leave Portland for an afternoon or evening for an opportunity to play music. I am a lifelong dead serious musician, but there is no "established" band people boast about if people are unwilling to make an effort, show-up, and help make it happen. A "musician" who drives to the beach to put their toes in sand, or drives to Mt Hood to snowboard, but refuses to drive half of that distance to play music, is not a serious musician and has misplaced priorities. Travel is synonymous with (serious) musician. I plan on playing everywhere, including touring the planet if possible. So if you're afraid of driving outside of Portland city limits, good for you and stay there. There's a big world out there beyond Portland, and if you've heard the news: The boarded-up, graphitti-covered 3rd-world, riots, and nightly shootings aren"t my scene. There is none of that anarchy mad max 3rd-world nonsense here. A band need only play as loud as the drummer. A single-kick 4 piece kit is sufficient. Bonus if you have xylophone? glockenspiel? or other tuned percussion.
