REMEMBER BATAAN: A visual exhibit to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Fall of Bataan
This year, we solemnly mark the 80th anniversary of the Fall of Bataan during the Second World War in the Philippines by bringing closer to life the stories of Filipinos and Americans who fought for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.
This exhibit will commemorate the 80th anniversary of the epic Battle of Bataan and the tragic Death March that followed. In addition, this exhibit will reflect on the role of the San Francisco Bay Area as a gateway for military personnel and strategic base of the US defense line. This exhibit will also feature Profiles of Courage — stories of Filipino and American soldiers as well as civilians who served with courage, honor and distinction. We hope to pay tribute to them by keeping their legacy alive for future generations of Filipinos and Americans.
