WALNUT CREEK, CA — Police in Walnut Creek asked the public on Saturday morning to avoid the area of North Main Street between Parkside Drive and San Luis Road. Police were responding to a possible shooting, according to witnesses staying at a Motel 6, KRON4 reported. Police were seen in SWAT gear and were possibly responding to a standoff situation, according to KRON4's Dan Thorn. Police were seen near Interstate Highway 680, according to an alert send shortly after 11 a.m. No other details were released. The Bay City News contributed to this report.
