PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The Prince George's County Health Department temporarily closed two gyms over the weekend, reports said. WUSA9 wrote that the two gyms were the Bowie Sport Fit and the Capital Heights Gold's Gym.
Violations included mask and social distancing infractions, WUSA9 reported. The outlet added that inspectors also spotted members playing basketball indoors, which is currently prohibited in the county.
"To uphold our very high standards for cleanliness, we continue to clean our facilities with BIOPROTECT," the Gold's Gym said on Facebook Sunday morning. "BIOPROTECT kills viruses to keep us all safe and healthy."
Bowie Sport Fit has not issued a public statement since WUSA9 reported their closure.
These shutdowns are temporary. The gyms will have the chance to fix their violations and reopen in the near future.
