Woman, 65, Dies In Bowie Car Crash: Police

BOWIE, MD — A Mitchellville woman died Saturday morning after her car veered off a Bowie roadway, police said. Officers identified the victim as Joni M. Coleman. She was 65. Police said Coleman was heading west on Byward Boulevard around 9:15 a.m. As Coleman approached St. Joseph's Drive, her car drifted right and hit two unoccupied parked vehicles before coming to a stop, an incident report noted. Officers are still investigating what caused the loss of control. Medics took Coleman to Prince George's Hospital where doctors pronounced her dead soon after, the report said.
