Bowie Woman, 70, Dies After Crash On Thanksgiving Eve: Police

BOWIE, MD — A Bowie woman died in a car accident on Wednesday, police said. Officers identified the victim as 70-year-old Winifred Y. Wilson. An incident report said the crash happened around 4:30 p.m. when Wilson was heading west on Annapolis Road. As Wilson turned left onto Hillmeade Road, she collided with a car driving east on Annapolis Road, the report added. Medics took Wilson to an unnamed hospital where she died soon after, the writeup noted. Police said the second motorist's injuries are not life-threatening. The Prince George's County Police Department is investigating the wreck. Officers ask anybody with information to call 301-731-4422.
