HUNTINGTON, NY — Charlize Tuozzo, 10, of Plainview, has found a way she can help Ukrainians fighting for their country following the Russian invasion.
Charlize organized a Ukraine Relief Concert slated for 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. April 6 at The Paramount NY Spotlight room in Huntington.
Tickets are $35, and all the money will go to the BStrong charity founded by Bethenny Frankel. BStrong's mission is to provide emergency assistance to people in crisis and is in a partnership with Global Empowerment Mission.
BStrong's current focus is finding ways to help the Ukrainians deal with their current crisis.
"I planned this concert because the people in Ukraine need help," Charlize told Patch. "I see the news and the pictures of the kids crying because their dads can not leave with them. I can't imagine having to leave without my daddy or brothers. I see how sad everyone is, I see their homes and cities destroyed. I worry about where everyone will live after leaving their homes. I want to have this concert so that we can raise money to help them. It's very important to me to at least try to do something to help them. We need to help them."
