Here are the top 3 stories in Buffalo today: Tapestry Charter School in Buffalo takes pride in inclusivity integrated into its pedagogy, which is why the school is in the process of developing an LGBTQIA+ student policy. One of the main components of the policy will be further education and training for teachers in the areas of sexual orientation and gender identity to best support students who identify as LGBTQIA+ and help educate those who don't. According to a student from Tapestry Charter, the most important thing is to feel normal in school, and this progressive policy aims to meet that goal.(Spectrum News) Those that rely on Broadway in Buffalo to get to work, school, or elsewhere may face frustration over the course of the next eight months. The New York State Department of Transportation announced that as of Monday, Broadway will be closed from Elm Street to Oak Street in Buffalo. The closure is due to sewage line work.
