Do you like to make things? Looking for a fun parent-child activity? Then plan to join us at the Belmont Gallery of Art (BGA) on Sat., April 9, from 10:30-12:00 for a free! Family-friendly mosaic workshop with artist Emily Bhargava. You'll have an assortment of beautiful tiles and beads to use, and each person will leave with a mosaic picture frame, wall hanging or set of coasters to bring home. No experience necessary. Ages 5 and up. Please note: Children must be accompanied by an adult. Space is limited to 20 students.

Instructor Emily Bhargava, a member of the New England Mosaic Society (NEMS) designs large and small mosaics, stained glass and other glass works for residential and public installation.
Working in the traditional media of stained glass and mosaic, Emily also crosses boundaries and integrates contemporary techniques and non-traditional materials to make playful, textured and stunning works that change the experience of a space.
*The Belmont Gallery of Art is located on the 3rd floor of the red brick Homer Bldg., part of the Town Hall Complex, 19 Moore St., Belmont Center. Free weekend parking in lot adjacent to the building.
