Deputies investigated after a car crash on Colquitt Rd. left one man dead and sent another to the hospital, said Sheriff Steve Prator.
Caddo Sheriff's deputies got the call just after 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. According to Lt. Cowden, a blue Cadillac sedan was driving north on Colquitt Road near Timber Ridge Drive when the driver lost control and crossed over into the southbound lane. A white Lexus SUV traveling south collided into the passenger side of the Cadillac. The driver of the sedan died at the scene while the driver of the SUV was taken to an area hospital.
Lt. Cowden said speed and road conditions may have been a factor in the accident.
Colquitt Rd. was closed for several hours while the Caddo coroner and CPSO crime scene investigators conducted their investigation.
