GREENLAND, NH — An armed robbery suspect in Maine was arrested on Interstate 95 in Greenland after a New Hampshire State Police chase. Around 12:30 p.m., Troop A troopers were told by Maine State Police that they were chasing a robbery suspect, after an incident in Auburn, on I-95 south. Upon the vehicle crossing the state line into New Hampshire, it failed to stop for troopers here, too. "The vehicle continued eluding troopers while driving in a reckless manner, driving the wrong way on the Interstate, and crossing the center median," Lt. Keith Walker said. "Several attempts were made to stop the vehicle." Eventually, the vehicle stopped in the center median near Mile Marker 10.2 in Greenland. The driver, Ahmed Duale, 27, of Lewiston, Maine, was arrested on felony reckless conduct, reckless operation, disobeying an officer, disorderly conduct, and indecent exposure charges. He was held without bail at the Rockingham County Jail pending future arraignment. Walker said, along with troopers from both states, police in Kittery, ME, and Portsmouth, Greenland, and North Hampton in New Hampshire assisted.
