Starting a 70s-inspired Rock & Roll band - originals & covers

Description
TLDR; Want to put together a band that is all things 60s/70s rock (grooving, funky, jammy, earthy) to play live in the area and maybe even on the road. Mix of covers and originals. Looking for drummers/bassists/guitarists/keyboardists/vocalists… I play guitar/keys/bass/sing. I’m a 38 year old, childless dude that’s played in bands for 20 years with no plans to stop. I am a FREAK for that glorious ’68-’72 era of music when boogie, blues, psychedelia, funk, R&B, soul, folk, country, power pop, and proto-punk all swirled together, loosely defined as rock & roll. The 60s and 70s in general are kinda my thing, but don’t leave out the 50s pioneers like Chuck Berry, 90s throwbacks like the Black Crowes, or 00s reinterpreters the Strokes. So yeah, I’m a millennial with boomer tastes. I believe if played well and with the right energy and spirit, “classic rock” will have an appeal for many years to come. I ain’t looking for fortune and fame, I just need to play and I’m happiest when I’m playing a lot, with other passionate musicians, for an audience (of any size). I believe in the good live music can do for your soul, and I’m not opposed to taking it on the road (working around day jobs of course). Guitar is my primary instrument - rhythm, lead, slide, acoustic, whatever. I have more guitars, amps, and pedals than I need, but I need them all. I’ve also played keys for a long time and am pretty OK at it - piano, electric piano, organ (I have a Hammond SK2 signed by Booker T. Jones (!) and a real, big Leslie rotating speaker because there’s nothing like the real thing). I can hold my own on bass and love doing it in the right situation. You DON’T want me to play drums, trust me. I can sing lead and harmonies. I’m no Pavarotti but I do a helluva Mick Jagger, a hearty Elvis Costello, and a decent young & gritty Rod Stewart. I write songs, would love to write with others, and also dig playing covers. Links to past music are available upon request. While a 4-5 piece rock band would be my ideal, an acoustic duo would be a lot of fun as well and a good place to build upon. I’d love a female vocalist in the band - there’s nothing like male/female harmonies (check out Delaney & Bonnie for my favorite example). I’m new to this area. Born and raised in Sacramento, CA, I just moved to serene Grover Beach a few months ago. Anywhere from Paso Robles to Lompoc (maybe even Santa Barbara?) is fine with me for regular rehearsals. I can’t offer a place to be loud, but am willing to contribute to the cost of a rehearsal spot if needed. I respect others’ time so I’m punctual and prepared, but most importantly I’m a friendly fella that’s easy to work with! I enjoy a couple beers here and there and the occasional puff. All ages/races/gender identities are beautiful - if you think we’d be a good fit musically that’s all that matters. If you’re still reading this, I’m impressed! Let’s do this. Bonus - Here’s a big ol’ list of bands I dig: Aerosmith (early) / Alabama Shakes / Al Green / Allman Brothers Band / Arctic Monkeys / Beatles / The Black Crowes / Bob Dylan / Bob Seger / Bonnie Raitt / Booker T & the MGs / Chuck Berry / The Clash / Creedence Clearwater Revival / Dave Mason / Delaney & Bonnie / Eddie Floyd / Elvis Costello & the Attractions / Faces / The Hives / Humble Pie / Iggy Pop & the Stooges / Janis Joplin / Joe Cocker (early) / Joe South / Johnny Thunders / King Tuff / Led Zeppelin / Leon Russell / The Libertines / The Meters / New York Dolls / Otis Redding / The Raconteurs / Real Estate / Richie Havens / Rod Stewart (early) / Rolling Stones / Sly & the Family Stone / Small Faces / The Strokes / Supergrass / Tommy James & the Shondells / T. Rex / Ty Segall / Vampire Weekend / War / The White Stripes
