Description

My body is shutting down and I can no longer care for my baby. In a few weeks I’m being sent to a VA hospital out of state for experimental treatment and she can’t come with me. I don’t have friends or family she can stay with. Her name is Heidi and she’s 4.5 years old. Spayed and up to date on shots. I’m the only owner she’s ever had. She’s got a lot of energy and needs to have an outlet. I’ve been working with “Working Dogs For Vets” to get her certification for a full blown service dog certification, but I just haven’t had the energy to complete the training. She knows basic commands though and has so much love to offer. I am desperate to find her a loving home. I’ve been trying every possible rescue for close to a year but no one can take her and I’m terrified she’ll end up in the pound. She doesn’t deserve to be surrendered to the pound but after a year of searching it seems I’m left with no choice. I can’t stop crying for her and I don’t want her to die just because I have to. I don’t know what else more I can do for her since I’m running out of time.
