We are looking for a Pond Technician. This is a part-time job with the possibility of becoming a full-time job in 3 months depending on the work ethic and skills demonstrated. The Pond Technician is a stepping stone to a Foreman position. In this role you will also be learning to build award-winning living water features: Koi ponds, boulder waterfalls & streams, etc. The job: The pond technician assists the Foreman in cleaning backyard ponds and water features, constructing new ponds, and remodeling existing ponds. It’s a dirty, outdoors job ideal for nature lovers – you’d be seeing a lot of frogs, fish, herons, and other critters. You’d sometimes be up to your knees in mud, draining neglected ponds, scooping mud and dead leaves from the bottom of the pond. You’d also be assisting in building new ponds, repairing leaks, and learning a very technical trade. You’d be learning about different techniques, materials, and designs for ponds and water features. You: Are legally authorized to work in the U.S. Have a valid driver’s license. Are at least 18 years of age. Can lift up to 50lbs. Have reliable transportation. Enjoy the outdoors. Are reliable. Have no criminal record. Preferred (but not required to apply) qualifications: Previous experience with water features Experience with stonework – patios, retaining walls Landscaping experience Horticulture experience Experience operating backhoe, forklift, push loader, or similar
