BEL AIR, MD — A first responder will be remembered with a ceremony at the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company's station on Hickory Avenue Friday.
As a result, the road will be closed for several hours.
Hickory Avenue will be closed from Churchville Road to Courtland Avenue from 3 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9.
Christopher Parker died Oct. 2, the day before he would have turned 49.
"Chris had worked for the BAVFC for 8 years, and he was also a paramedic for the Harford County Department of Emergency Services," the Bel Air Police Department said in a statement. "The Bel Air Police Department extends our thoughts and prayers to family, friends and co-workers."
