Description
TEMECULA, CA — Pavement rehabilitation work will continue Monday through Friday on Interstate 15, with some lane closures set to occur during the overnight hours.
The $28 million project to replace the number 3 and 4 lanes on the freeway between the Riverside/San Diego County line to just north of the Temecula Creek Bridge will pick up again all week, according to Caltrans.
From 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., alternating lanes closures will take place while crews work.
The southbound Rainbow Valley Boulevard off-ramp will also be taken out of service while wildlife fencing and guard rail are installed.
Between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., work will continue in both directions behind k-rails without lane closures.
"Commuters should prepare for a new traffic pattern switch in mid-September. A new crossover lane will be used for travelers to utilize in the northbound direction. The southbound direction will return to all open lanes during the day," Caltrans officials said.
