BEL AIR, MD — A vehicle caught fire Saturday morning in Bel Air, officials said. The fire marshal ruled the blaze accidental and said it caused thousands of dollars in damage. A Harford County sheriff's deputy discovered the fire while passing by the 1700 block of Conowingo Road, according to investigators. Firefighters were dispatched at 8:45 a.m. to the rear of Hickory International, a truck and tractor business on Conowingo Road. First responders found damage to the building's exterior and two rollback trucks, according to Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company. Three engines, a tower truck and two chiefs responded to the blaze, Gardiner said. Within five minutes, firefighters brought the blaze under control. Investigators said the blaze caused $25,000 in damage to a 2005 International Rollback. According to the fire marshal, Walters Rollback Service owns the vehicle, where an electrical failure caused the fire in the engine compartment.
